A Partnership in Your Care

Dr. Hummel combines foundational Naturopathic principles with the Mederi Care medical system, a comprehensive and eclectic approach perfectly suited for addressing complex health challenges. He walks alongside his patients, offering steady support through the many difficulties that can accompany a cancer diagnosis. He is known for his thorough and compassionate approach to evaluating each patient’s unique situation and developing personalized treatment protocols.

What to Expect

Your first visit is a dedicated time to dive more deeply into your experiences and diagnosis, lasting 60–90 minutes. To make this time as productive as possible, Dr. Hummel asks that you provide your medical documents (scans, labs, pathology reports, etc.) at least three days beforehand. This allows him to come to your first meeting already familiar with your story.

Following this initial consultation, Dr. Hummel will create a comprehensive, holistic plan designed to be your roadmap. It’s aimed at improving your vitality and health while addressing the underlying cancer pathology. This detailed written program will empower you with:

  • Personalized nutritional guidance.
  • A curated list of integrative cancer therapies specific to your situation.
  • Clear recommendations on necessary tests to better understand your body’s unique needs.
  • Strategies for communicating effectively with your oncologist or surgeon.
  • Expert guidance on specialized testing that can reveal your cancer’s specific weaknesses and how to target them.

A Collaborative Approach

Dr. Hummel believes in the power of teamwork. He is available to collaborate with your existing physicians, such as a local naturopathic doctor or holistic MD/DO, to ensure your care is seamless. He can also help you navigate conversations with your oncology team about incorporating integrative practices.

When you work with Dr. Hummel, you also gain the support of a whole community of experts. As an ongoing participant in multiple physician groups, he discusses cases and shares and receives insights. This means many great minds may contribute to the strength of your personal care plan.
