Vitamin C – Promotes various pathways of the immune system in it’s fight again bacteria, viruses, allergens, and pathogenic cells. Too much can cause loose stools and canker sores.
Vitamin D – Modulates the innate and adaptive immune responses. Deficiencies are associated with higher levels of autoimmunity and increased risk of infection. Too much can cause toxitiy issues.
Vitamin A – Promotes healthy mucous integrity and is considered anti-inflammatory due to its effects on the immune system. Too much can cause toxicity issues.
Zinc – A critical nutrient for the creation of neutrophils and natural killer cells (both very important parts of our immune system defenses).
NAC – A precursor to our most potent antioxidant, glutathione. Also relaxes the bronchial tree and breaks down mucous to enhance breathing.
Elderberry – Has been shown to decrease the ability of viruses to infect cells, but may also increase cytokine response (which can be bad at certain points in the COVID-19 infection).
Probiotics – Support a healthy gut microbiome, which is important since much of our immune system is housed in the gut.

While all of these are simple and often great supplements, they may not be right for everyone at every time, and they may not be right for you. Different people need different doses based on their individual circumstances and needs.
